Disconnect can be pleasurable but only for so long before the blogging part of life begins to suffer.
Though I have secretly enjoyed and think Buddha would be proud of my lack of connection with the rest of the world on my nomadic experience, now that I am in a stationary place with constant wifi, I find myself overwhelmed but happily addicted to using the internet.
We had wifi for much less than half of the month we were traveling, and my friend Billy always said that I was the one person who would come to the wifi spot with everyone and spend most of the time there journaling or coloring instead.
Looking back, I know that I was just never in the mood to crank out a quick blog post on the spot or want to go through my pictures to post them, because I was just happy to have some down time to digest all that was going through my mind.
I will say that I’m sorry the lack of updates to those who have been checking my site, and I thank you so much for your interests from the start. I can promise some update relief though now that I am settled in my internship at Sarvodaya where I have time to catch up on my writing and reflections.
I will be constantly posting pictures and blogging over the next few weeks, so I hope to share some engaging stories as well as research from the trip that have remarkably transformed my thinking and my future aspirations.
Best wishes to everyone from Sri Lanka!
